The simultaneous Z-DEVD-FMK ic50 application of vitamin C with the HO-1 activity inhibitor zinc protoporphyrine IX (ZnPPIX) caused a considerable decrease of photodynamic treatment-induced cytotoxicity compared to ZnPPIX alone.
