The diameter of the inhibition zones was measured in millimetre. Inhibition zones were compared to those of control disks. Minimal inhibitory concentration was defined as the lowest concentration that inhibited the growth of the microorganism detected visually and the extract concentrations were tested at 100%, 40%, 16%, 10% and 5%.
